From January 12 to 14, CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZHGAS") convened a conference to review key engineering projects. The meeting focused on summarizing implementation experiences from 2023, identifying bottlenecks, and discussing improvement strategies. Attendees included senior management, project managers, and core team representatives.
In 2023, ZHGAS witnessed explosive business growth with 11 active projects simultaneously under execution. During the December 12-13 summary sessions, project managers, construction supervisors, procurement leads, and cost control managers shared insights across key dimensions including project progress, schedule management, economic target fulfillment, execution experience, notable achievements, identified shortcomings, and optimization opportunities. On December 14, team discussions focused on critical operational priorities—personnel organization, team development, communication efficiency, design reviews, on-site spot procurement, and material management—to collectively identify pathways for enhancing project execution excellence.
Senior management highly commended the efforts of all project team members and outlined the following requirements for subsequent project construction and management: In design, strengthen design summaries, enhance training efficiency, improve design manuals, preserve design experience, and deepen specialized engineering management across all disciplines; in procurement, increase procurement efficiency, prioritize equipment performance feedback, and strengthen supplier management and evaluation; in engineering management, reinforce on-site inspection mechanisms for critical equipment, implement closed-loop management of on-site materials, and rigorously oversee project settlements; in team building, enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of incentive mechanisms to fully stimulate team initiative and engagement; in cross-department collaboration, optimize communication protocols, conduct cross-functional training, promote deep integration among design, procurement, and engineering teams, and jointly explore measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs; for new business sectors, intensify benchmarking with industry peers, refine design models, and optimize cost and schedule management; for overseas projects, systematize execution processes of completed projects, formalize post-project reviews, and compile overseas project construction handbooks.
